Premiere Vision Trip 2nd and 3rd years

We are arranging to take 40 2nd and 3rd year students to Premiere vision on thursday 10th of Feb for the day. We will pay for the eurostar ticket, but we need a deposit from you that will be refunded after the trip. You must be prepared to travel to Kings Cross for 4.45 am on that day. Do not miss out on this amazing opp! To secure your place you need to pay your £50 deposit to Carmel at the finance office this week, she is in on mon, wed and fri from 10-12 and 13-15. Act quick places are limited!

WELL DONE YEAR 1

FIRST YEARS, just wanted to say WELL DONE on the completion of your first textile projects. I am very impressed with the standard of work and the feedback I have got from your tutors. Group C has come up top trumps with the weave assignment, special pat on the back for you! I am looking forward to seeing your work for the fashion project next week.

Lilly Heine

Lilly Heine is an amazing new fashion textile designer who has recently graduated from the MA at St Martins. Her graduate collection signature was picked up by Top Shop and Lilly is now collaborating with them to produce a range. I am thrilled that she has agreed to come and speak to us next WEDNESDAY 24th of November in the Main Hall at 3.30. Do not miss this amazing opportunity!

Now we need  to start on issue 2.

Sustainable fashion and beauty show

The world's first sustainable fashion and beauty show arrives in the

capital- Fashion Fusion Expo" 12-13 March 2010 @ Old Truman Brewery,

Brick Lane, London.


Fashion Fusion Expo will kick off 12-13 March 2010 on the famous Brick Lane

and Old Truman Brewery venue for fashion events.


We write to invite your school/College students to attend Fashion Fusion

Expo with a discount rate and also invite the journalist students to have

access to write about the show.


We are offering every student a special discount of £2 with the full price

of £10 so each student will need to pay £8 with student ID Cards.


All ticket holders are entitled to free entry to our exclusive After Party

at Café de Paris on 13th March 2010. The club age limit is over 18; please

also buy direct from participant designers and see the fashion show.

Group 1B changes to timetable

Please note the following changes in your timetable:
Ba: Week 14, Creative writing workshop will take place on thursday instead of wednesday
All Group B: Week 20, Sample room will take place on monday and Ba will do heat transfers on tuesday, Bb independent study on tuesday!

ATTENTION ALL FIRST YEARS

Group 1A: You will start the year with me on monday 11/01/10 in the construct studio, which is on the ground floor behind the dying lab (in the building where the print studios are). I want you to bring all the research you have done over the hols. I will see you in small groups, a list of allocated times will be posted on this blog by the end of this week and on monday! No excuses!!!!!

Group 1B: You will be starting off with Brian in the Fashion Textile studio, you all know where this is by now! You need to bring in pencils, drawing materials. It is important you are in at 10 am sharp as the work you do on this day will play a significant role in your design work. YOU MUST NOT MISS THIS SESSION UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!! Also, I will see Bb on tuesday 12th and  Ba on thurs 21st for creative writing workshops (note this change in your timetable!) for this session you need to be thinking about your mythical bloom in terms of what it can do, where does it grow, how did it come to be. These are important days too as they form the basis of your concept!!!!
