Hermès celebrates its 175th anniversary with an exhibition illustrating the company's relationship with leather over the years. The show is divided into 12 rooms representing various leather collections - including equestrian, travel, handbags and accessories. Stitches in Time

Textile Enthusiasts Wanted (volunteers)

The Textile Circuit is an exhibition of community textile art made over the last six years and arts workshops, in eight locations along or near the Commercial Road E14. The work will be on view during the Olympic Games and will give visitors and residents a unique, historic and creative view of the story of international trading and our local docks.
Stitches in Time has been granted the Inspire Mark by the London 2012 Inspire Programme.
We are looking for a number of enthusiastic volunteers to help up staff the locations to provide support to the project and to welcome visitors from around the world. Induction sessions will be held before the Circuit begins and all volunteers are guaranteed a friendly and creative working environment with access to a Volunteer Champion to provide information and support.  Unfortunately, at the present time, we are not able to pay or refund expenses.
If you live, work or study in Tower Hamlets or nearby and you are interested in helping out with the Textile Circuit, please email to info@stitchesintime.org.uk for a volunteer application form.
Deadline for receipt of  applications is Friday 18 May
